A Kingsport man has been arrested for allegedly firing a pistol toward a house multiple times while nine people — including six children — were inside the residence.
JOHNSON CITY — With the help of forensic evidence, investigators have traced a more than three-decade-old murder to the Tri-Cities region and are soliciting tips in order to solve it.
A man attempting to stop the beating of a woman at a city motel was shot multiple times early Sunday morning, with the alleged gunman now sought on several charges, including attempted second-degree murder.
On Pleasant Hill Road, police found a Chevrolet Blazer lying on its side. Witnesses said that when they arrived at the scene, a juvenile was lying in the road and a woman was behind the wheel. She then ran to her nearby residence.
According to a report, the incident occurred Wednesday at about 10:45 p.m. The victim said as she was in her vehicle outside of PetSmart on North Eastman Road, a man in a red Honda opened his door.
